The Chambers of Commerce Group Insurance Plan® Business Assistance Service (BAS) is designed to fill this gap.

This confidential service provides access to professional accounting, counselling, legal and human resource experts who understand the challenges small business owners face. NEW CARBON TAX PLAN

Attached is an open letter to the federal Minister of Environment and Climate Change, the Honourable Catherine McKenna, and Saskatchewan’s provincial Minister of the Environment, the Honourable Scott Moe.

The letter contains the Saskatchewan Chamber of Commerce’s response to yesterday’s federal carbon tax announcement.

This sudden decision by the federal government was certainly unexpected and is of great concern to the businesses and residents of Saskatchewan.

Over the coming weeks and months we will be working with the provincial and federal government, as well as our business members and other organizations, to find a more reasonable way to move forward on dealing with this issue.

Sincerely,

Steve McLellan
